You Make Me Smile!

Hi there, 1LuvnMama here! I've got a quick post and a card to share with y'all!

Here is Capri Marci. I just luv her casualness and laid back style. I suppose that's why I went with this simple and laid back card. The doily has so much detail in it already, I didn't want to overdo it.

I colored her with copics and paper pieced her shirt. A few pearls, some flowers, a button and floss . . . that's it! :)

Be sure to check out the Online Store for your Marci and Luka's!

Thanks for stoppin' in. Oh, don't forget to upload your creations in our Customer Gallery!

Thank Goodness for Fireman Luka!

Okay, so there IS a reason why Luka's outfit is not clean. LOL You see, he has been working super hard putting out fires. :)

Okay seriously, I totally didn't realize I colored black first instead of yellow. I used colored pencil by the way. Since I didn't want to waste the image, I just put on a dirty outfit for Luka. hehe

I guess I need LOTS of more practice using Prisma colored pencils. LOL

Anyway, have a fabulous Friday, everyone!

Jessalyn gets Mojo'd

Hi everyone, Jana here. I'm back from our vacation to Key West! We had a fabulous time enjoying the perfect weather and relaxed attitude.

I decided to pair Jesalyn (available in digi right here and in rubber here!) with this week's Mojo188 sketch, and am quite pleased with the results! I also colored her with my W's to create the black and white look - such a fun technique!! I used W00, 1, 3, 5 and 7 - along with R00 to give her a nice soft pink glow.

I hope you all have been linking up your La-La Crafts creations on our blog...just a few more days to get in for this month's Customer Appreciation drawing!! Good luck!

Star Magic Monday

Hi Everyone,

Starting a new week with a bit of magic this Monday with a little Magician Luka gift tag. I've coloured Luka on Kraft paper to give the pastel look. Thought he would look good on a present or even as a topper on a card or Scrapbook page embellishment.

Don't forget we would love to see your anything but a card projects for a chance to win fabulous prizes in our National Scrapbooking Day contest running at the moment.

As always you can get this little guy as either a digi-stamp or a rubber stamp.

Enjoy your Week everyone and see you next Monday.

So Cool...

Good afternoon!!  Hope you're enjoying your Easter Sunday.  Bar-b-que is on the menu for later today, but for now, it's all about crafting with my bestie, Renate.  :)  Which takes me to my La-La Land Crafts post for today.

As I was flipping through the stamps Luka with Truck caught my attention and right then I decided I wanted to use this cutie to make a boy card this time around.  I paired him up with some cute automobile paper and found a Cuttlekid truck die that I colored with Copics to match the truck in his arms.  I punched out a small cloud and colored it to make it look like smoke coming out from the exhaust.  Renate shared her cute brads and I used So Cool for the center of the "smoke."  Have to say I think this little boy is a cutie pie and can be colored to look like anyone's little boy.

Don't forget to upload any of your La-La Land projects to the Customer Gallery.  A winner will be chosen at the end of the month for a cool prize.

Mahalo for stopping by today.  Have a wonderful Easter Sunday!

Hugs,
Leanne

Too many shoes? Not! Never! No way!

Greetings fellow La-La Land Crafts family! One of the things that has always drawn my attention and made me smile when I look at my Marci rubber stamp collection...are all the cute shoes! Right?! All snazzy and stylish and wonderfully positioned to just ever so slightly introduce another side to her personality...

So, I had to do something with Marci's shoes and here we have it.  Hope you like it and it makes you smile, too!   Can you guess which Marci each pair belongs to?

You can't see in the pic, but the little red shoes are blinged out and sparkly and the super hero boots have Diamond Glaze on them to give the sleek rubbery look.  I decided to keep everything else gray except the shoes and the teddy bear feet with the hopes that the shoes would stand out more.   One day, when I figure out how to take better pictures, you'll be able to see all the different textures and proper colors.  Ok! All done for the night and tomorrow begins another project my bud, Leanne!  WHOO HOO! I love big projects :)

Happy Easter Everyone!

Move over Chef Marci . . . Someone new is taking over the bakery!

Well, well, 1LuvnMama is back with a La-La Land Crafts post.

My son, along with the rest of the Kindergartners at his school, performed in a play/musical . . . Jack & the Beanstalk. He was a cook. My card that I'm sharing today was inspired by my son's performance. I used Chef Marci & Amour Luka. How did I use both images? I altered the two images - - I wanted the chef's outfit without Marci's face/hair. Amour Luka was the perfect fit with his long pants. This is how it came out!

Here's a closer look at Chef Luka. I hope Irina, owner of La-La Land Crafts, would be proud of me that I created a "boy" chef. :)

Well, my boy made me proud! He had me beaming from ear to ear after watching him perform. I hope this inspires you to create . . . have a great weekend!

So Lady Like!

Hello!

It has been a while since I inked up this adorable Fancy Dress Marci. I haven't played with my Hampton Artsy Edges stamps as well and I thought they would be perfect for Marci! Like it? I simply stamped it on the edges and voila! In case you are wondering about the corners, I used a ticket punch for them.

I do hope everyone have a fun Easter weekend! Thanks a bunch for stopping by today!

A Li'l Something for a Li'l Someone

Happy Wednesday!!

I’m pulling a goodie out of the attic today!  This is Birthday Marci which was one of the very first Marci’s that came out late late year.  She’s one of my faves because she’s so versatile:  great for Birthdays or Christmas, Mother's Day or other.  And don'tcha just love her cute li'l panda friend?  So cute.

I followed this week's sketch at Sketches by Carly.  We're just playing for fun this week, so if you’re looking for a sketch to follow, why not try this one?!   =)

Copic Blog Candy - NEW Winner!!

Since we haven't heard from the winner of our Copic Blog Candy, we picked another WINNER!!

The winning number this time is 92.

CONGRATULATIONS Denise!!

Please email us to claim your 12 FREE COPIC MARKERS!!

Get Well!

Good afternoon everyone!  I have a quick card to share with you featuring Doctor Marci.  I recently heard one of my bestie's daughter was sick.  I wanted to send her something cheerful and what could be more cheerful than a Marci card?  Exactly!

Here I went really simple with the design.  Colored Marci up with Copics.  Used my newest border punch from EK and some really fun dp from MME Tickled Pink.  The sentiment was handwritten on a tag punch from SU with a bright turqouise ribbon that pops some of the same color from the dp.  The whole display is on a light peach Tsumugi card from Hanko Designs.

Planning to put this in the mail tomorrow and hoping when she gets it she'll feel tons better.  She won't be able to read it as she's only 2, so mommy or daddy will have to read it to her, but I'm hoping the bright colors and pretty Marci will put a smile on her face.

Wouldn't you love to do that for someone special?  Of course you would!  Well you can with any of the La-La Land images.  They just make you smile and feel better.  Stop by the STORE and pick some up today!

Don't forget to upload your creations to our Customer Gallery, I've been seeing some really gr8 creations. : )

Have a gr8 Sunday!!
Hugs,
Leanne

Homemade sugar and spice...

Hi! Renate' here to share some homemade sweets with you today! I love cupcakes, so how could I resist using my awesome La-La Land Crafts super sweet Sugar & Spice Marci for today's first contribution to the La-La Land Blog?!  She's stamped on Neena Brilliant White cardstock and colored in with Copic Markers.  All the paper is from the DCWV Mama's Kitchen Stack and I used Spellbinders Nestabilities Curved Rectangles to frame out our little friend.

Thanks for taking a peek! Don't forget to upload any creations you've made using our Marci and Luka line into the CUSTOMER GALLERY.

Buh-bye for now!

True Friendship Needs No Words

Well, hello there, 1LuvnMama here! I'm back to share another creation with you. I made a card using Sweetheart Marci. Can you tell I went a little wild with all the hearts! At first glance, the colors seem so patriotic . . . nothing wrong with that right? The bold, rich reds and blues fit perfectly for Sweetheart Marci as she holds her strung hearts. You'll be able to get her {HERE}. I colored Sweetheart Marci with Distress Inks and kept the layout pretty simple.

Thanks for stoppin' by today. If you get a chance, check out the rest of the LLLC Blog for more inspiration from the Design Team! :) Don't forget to upload any creations you've made using our Marci and Luka line into the CUSTOMER GALLERY. Have a happy Saturday!

Let's Pretend!

Hello! Kim here today.

Have I ever mentioned how much Marci looks like my daughter? You probably hear this from a lot of people...not necessary just my daughter but perhaps your daughter, your granddaughter, your niece.... Marci just has that cute look that looks like every girl out there! For real! She is that adorable!

Today I used Dress Up Marci. Seriously, how cute is she?? My daughter is at the wanna-be-grown-up age now (at least I think she is). Yup, she gets a hold of my high heels and starts modeling around the house! Can you imagine me chasing her around the house trying to get her to take it off? LOL

I colored Marci with Copics. I added pearlized top coat smooch on Marci's pearl necklace.

Well, that's all I have for now. Thank you so much for spending some of your crafty time with me! Have a great one, everyone!

Dress up Marci is Retro!

Hi everyone, Jana here. You know I had to do it! I hadn't colored this little cutie black and white yet, and I just needed to see how she'd look! As usual, I've paired her up with this fabulous Circa 1934 paper and this week's Mojo Monday sketch. And of course you all know already that this little cutie is available in both rubber and Digi format.

I added lots of embellishments, lace, ribbon, bakers twine!  The sentiment is an old Stampin Up! set that matches the punch, with a scalloped circle behind it. For markers I used W00, 01, 03. 05 and 07.

Have you been linking up YOUR La-La Land creations on the Customer Gallery page? You know you can win FREE STAMPS that way, right?? So, what are you waiting for?

{Smile} with Fancy Dress Marci

Hi & happy Wednesday!!   Kris here to share a card featuring Fancy Marci. She’s available as a digi here on the blog, or in rubber in the store.  This was my first attempt at red hair and I’m pretty happy with how it came out.  I didn’t follow any tutorials, I just kinda started blindly with some colors I had and it actually turned out!  =)  Love it when that happens!  LOL.  I described that on my personal blog  in case you’re interested.

These gorgeous papers and die cuts are from the Bayberry collection (by Pink Paislee) and the twine is from the Twinery.

Remember that we have a Customer Appreciation Day every month where on name is drawn from those who link your La-La creations HERE in our customer gallery to receive a fabby prize!!

Have a creative day… Ink Something!!

Love You Bunches!!

Hello there, Karen here on this marvelous Tuesday!!  I've got a fun card to share with you today featuring Sweetheart Marci!!   You can purchase her in DIGI or RUBBER in the La-La Land Store right now..if you'd like!!

I love creating shaped cards, so I decided to make a big flower card using my Silhouette machine!  Since Sweetheart Marci created a bunch of hearts on a string, I thought it would be sweet to have the sentiment match that!!  So, I printed the sentiment from the PC, and then placed it onto my Spellbinders!

Hope you enjoy her...and have a fabulous day!

Hugs & Smiles,
Karen

Sweet Dreams

For my share today I chose Sweet Dreams Marci w/ her little pal Panda bear.  I just love these two together.  And those cute bunny slippahs are perfect.  I had a left over Spellbinder frame from a recent card, decided to keep it just in case I could use it.  Luck was on my side as it fit perfectly on my card and was a perfect match for the baby blue Sakura with pink and white flower dp.   I paper-pieced her dress and bunny slippahs with another Sakura patterned paper in pink & white.  Dry embossed the white card with a Sakura pattern and in the center I used a strip of white which is embossed with a Swiss dot pattern.  Added a pretty big pink bow, some flowers and gems.  I'm definitely using these sweeties again.  : )

Now don't forget about the awesome 12 Copic Sketch Markers give-a-way Irina posted on the LLLC Blog.  For all the details click HERE and good luck!! : )

Mahalo for stopping by!  Be sure to upload any projects you've made using our Marci & Luka images into our Customer Gallery.  At the end of the month, one lucky person will be drawn to win a free stamp!  Will it be you?  : )

Bunny Marci Easter Basket

Don’tcha just LOVE digis??  Of course I love my rubber stamps as well, in fact, when I first learned how to “mask” using stamps I thought it was soo cool!  Still is, but now that I’m getting more experienced with digis, I am finding how FUN it is to mix and match digis.  Easy to do using a program like Paint.Net or Photoshop because you can erase what you don’t want and layer the things you DO!  So I started with the bunny head from the Critter Tops set (Doodle Pantry) and cropped the ears off him and then layered them onto this Sitting Marci (La-La Land Crafts), see below:

This cute basket is so easy to make too!  I’ve created a li’l tutorial for you, but I give credit to the original idea from the very talented Dawn Burnsworth  =)  I started with a 9x9” square of designer paper, although you can make it with a 6x6” as well.  You can use cardstock or cardstock-weight designer paper (best).  You split the square into 3rds, so for a 9x9” you would score every 3” on both sides, edge to edge.  For a 6x6” you would score every 2”.  Then you cut just 2 opposite sides from the edge (on the score line) up to the middle score line.  Here are some pictures:

1

Next, take the middle flaps that are sticking up in my first photo, and measure halfway across and mark a dot with a pencil.  Then you cut from that point to the fold at a diagonal, as in my 2nd photo.  Do that on opposite tab as well.  Next, divide the adjoining flaps into 3rds and cut up to the fold line.

2

Next, you bring in the flaps, overlapping one over the other, and you will have a bit sticking out on the other side of your triangle, so hold the flaps in place and cut off the parts sticking out.  Then go back and tape those flaps in place.  The 2nd set of flaps you don’t have to do that with because they are behind your front flaps and won’t show.

3

Repeat on other side.  Add handles and decorate!!  Oh, and can’t forget to fill it with all kinds of treats for the kiddos, or whomever your recipient will be =)  ENJOY!

Dress Up Marci...She's So Stylish!!

Sharing Dress Up Marci today...who is now available in RUBBER, along with two more stamps, Fireman Luka & Jesalyn by La-La Land Crafts!!!

Today, I am highlighting how stylish this little lady is, so I made a classy and elegant style of note card today! I'm thinking...it's always nice to have on hand a card without any sentiment ready or on the front! That way, with the leftover papers, I can always use them up later by carrying the theme to the inside of the card and make the sentiment or quote specific to when I need to send off this card!! Oh, that button you see..it's all rhinestones! I think it goes perfectly for this card, and it's made by My Mind's Eye, as well as the designer papers I used for my card!

So, let me see your Marci style!  It's a new month and you can upload your La-La Land Crafts projects to the Customer Gallery for a chance at a prize!!

Enjoy your day!

Hugs & Smiles,

Karen
